DuPont™ Kevlar® is an organic fiber in the aromatic polyamide family. The unique properties and distinct chemical composition of wholly aromatic polyamides (aramids) distinguish them - and especially Kevlar® - from other commercial, man-made fibers.

KEVLAR - Double Braid utilizes DuPont Kevlar aramid fiber for a super high strength core and Polyester fiber for an abrasion resistant cover. It is widely used to replace wire-rope where extremely low stretch and high strengths are critical.
